Get out and ride some dirt! Want to find some great singletrack in your area? Then you’ve come to the right place. Below is a list of clubs, organizations, and trails that I ride – so Midwest trails mostly. You can also find links to other informational sites – you know, the bigger, badder, better, and awesomer (yes, I think awesomer should be a word) sites that have tons of additional information about mountain biking.
Now pick your poison and get out and ride!
LAMBA - a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to creating and maintaining sustainable mountain biking trails in the Linn County Iowa area. Beverly Park, Squaw Creek Park, and Thomas Park are the main trails maintained by LAMBA. I am a LAMBA member, so you know it’s a cool club.
ICORR - The Iowa Coalition of Off-Road Riders (ICORR) is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization formed to promote, preserve, and improve mountain bike trail access in Iowa. ICORR is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to building and maintaining sustainable mountain biking trails at Sugar Bottom trails, and surrounding areas. I’m also a member of ICORR.
QCFORC - Quad Cities Friends of Off-Road Cycling, a registered member of IMBA is responsible for buidling and maintaining some 4 amazing trail systems; Sylvan Island, Sunderbruch, Scott County Park (SCOCOPA), and Illiniwek. These guys, and gals, have a great moto — “Drink Beer, Have Fun”. With a moto like that, you know these guys are serious about mountain biking.
